I have just purchased a Mytek 8x192 with the firewire card. My original plan was to just run the FW card, but I was wondering what the benefits are by going with the RME HDSPe AES vs FW?. My system is the following:

Logic 9 running 24/96
Mac 8 Core 6 gigs RAM
Mytek 8 out into Tonelux sub mixer (stereo back into Logic)
Most of the time only 4 ins at once.

I know latency would benefit, but would the computer processing power and performance also benefit? If I understand correctly, in order to get less latency, I need to have a smaller Buffer I/O setting and typically an AES connection can handle this more efficiently.

Any info would be great. Basically, I'd like to know if I would see any value from the purchase of the HDSPe AES vs. using the FW connection.
