Topic: RME UFX Hissing

Hi,

I am using the mic line ins for connecting drum machines and synths, as far as i can see i need to turn the gain up for the volume on these particular channels, so that hissing sound is quite audible when the instruments aren't being used, any tips on this? Can i convert these channels to line ins using the software? I also noticed the same hissing occurs on inputs 7/8 too which are set to stereo channels. Any helpful tips appreciated.

Are you sure the noise isn´t from the machines them selves? If you remove the audio cables from the rme side and the hiss goes away, it´s the machines.

Hmm will check, but sometimes the synths aren't on and if i have the gain up on the input the noise is still audible!
