Topic: Analogue-digital routing standalone

Hi guys from RME.

I´ve bought recently my FF800 second hand in Argentina, and let me say, congratulations for this fine piece of hardware.
Of course that´s why it´s writing it´s own history on modern music since 2004.

I´m keeping my old samplers, and like to try some conections:

1. How do I route any of the mic inputs on the front (mono), or the line input on the front, to the SPDIF coaxial out?. I´m recording a guitar from the front line input plus one mic (+48v) in a stereo signal. But I want that stereo output from the SPDIF coaxial to the samplers. It that possible?.

Also,

2. How do I config totalmix to route the optical ADAT2 input (as SPDIF), to a specific analogue pair (stereo), or to the SPDIF coaxial?. I want some optical out from a laptop to go into ADAT2 spdif, and then via coaxial to the samplers. Is that possible?.

Can I share this two settings simultaneously in standalone?.

Thanks for your time.

Cheers,

Kan Kaban.

Re: Analogue-digital routing standalone

Thanks Daniel.

I saw the tutorial. Everything seems simple.

Still some things I need to know.

May I route some analogues to spdif COAXIAL out, at the same time I route OPTICAL spdif IN to COAXIAL spdif out?

More simply, may I route optical spdif in (as ADAT2), to coaxial spdif out?.

Sorry about this questions, I have to make them since I have the FF800 now on trip, without any PC to fire it. So I´ll have to borrow a computer and make the flash really ok.

Thanks!.
