Topic: no speaker sound in cubase

hello,

i can't hear any sound in cubase 6 except from my rme fireface phones output even tho mp3 players etc. playback sound normally when cubase is not running

i'm almost 100% sure it has nothing to do with cubase but with totalmix i still can't figure after 5 months of fucking around

what am i doing wrong?

Which playback channels (middle row) does Cubase use? You have to route these to the physical output (bottom row) that your monitors are attached to.

actually now the fireface 800 died completely; it doesn't do anything anymore
the system sounds are censored

i'm sorry to say but this is a piece of shit machine - i already returned one back to the factory

the middle row says out 1 and out 2

the bottom row says AN 1 + AN 2 and PH L + PH R
