Topic: Babyface auto sensing spdif clock?

Hi,

I have a Line6 PodHD with a spdif out. I've hooked it up to the BF spdif in and assumed that whenever I use the Pod that the BF will detect the clock and use it. This seems not to be the case, I have to manually change the drop down in the setting app to optical in order for it all to work without glitches.

When I switch on the Pod the BF panel does blink sync/lock messages but the dropdown stays on 'internal' and I get glitches.

Do I have the wrong idea about how BF works regarding clocks, ie, that in fact it doesn't auto sense what it's being fed and needs to be told?

Cheers,

Andy.

Re: Babyface auto sensing spdif clock?

When the BF is on Internal, it will not automatically snyc to external clock. Set it to Optical. In this case, it will switch to Internal when the Pod is off or disconnected and sync to it when it's on.
