Topic: Nvidia display adapters - are they to proscribe with FF800 ?

Hi,

I am currently using an ATI Radeon 5450 HD on my system, with no problem - except:

- once in a while it will have weird behavior on screen background (kind of part of the screen is freezed - alhough this does not seems to have any impact on the system and programs...
- it can only use one digital output (while my monitors both have a DVI connector - and one has a HDMI.

I believe having read that some people experience troubles with FF800 and Nvidia adapters. I do not intend to install an expensive one - just one that would allow using both DVI connectors at same time in dual-display setup.

Any recommendation ?

System:
Quad-Core i7 870 @ 2.93Ghz
Asus P7P55D-E
Win 7 x64
8GB ram
SONAR 8.5 (32 and 64 bit) and SONAR X1 (64bit) + Pro Tools 9
RME Fireface 800 (audio interface, Firewire)  - connected FW400 through SiiG interface (TI chipset)
MOTU MIDI Express 128
ATI HD Radeon 5450 1GB

Doesn't the 5450 have a DVI, VGA and an HDMI/display port output?

I checked the AMD spec and it is supposed to.

HI lanstrad,
The ATI 5450 should work totally fine with that setup in a dual monitor setup.
It sounds to me like you have a bad video card.
Are you using the latest driver version is (11.5)?
