Topic: RME Babyface problem, interface not shown in Audio-Midi Setup!

Hi.

My Mac OS X (running version 10.5.5., computer was bought in early 2008) detects Babyface when connected to a USB-port (it's USB 2.0). LEDs light up as they should according to the manual. Driver installation also went without problems. However when I open Audio-Midi Setup from System Preferences, Babyface isn't there. It also seems that my computer doesn't automatically recognize Babyface if I disconnect and connect it back. Something strange also happens when I do that - my computer slows down and starts experiencing some weird lag and needs a reset. Any idea what could be the cause of these problems? Thanks in advance for any help.

Is it showing and have you selected it in the System Prefs - Sound - Inputs and outputs?

No, it isn't showing there so I can't select the inputs and outputs either.

Oh yeah, I do also have other drivers installed for interfaces like M-Audio Firewire and Native Instruments' Audio 8 DJ (USB Interface). Is it possible that they could somehow interfere with RME Babyface's drivers? Or am I on thin ice here?

I also tried installing RME Babyfaces' drivers 1.50 two times and an older driver 1.49 once that came on the CD with the interface.

Bump! Any idea how I could finally get this interface to work? HeadScratch
