Topic: Phantom power on FF400

Hi guys,

I just want to confirm the following steps when miking a phantom powered microphone.

I just got a bluebird from Blue Mic and I did the following things:

1) Plug the xlr cable in the FF400 on channel 1.
2) Plug the xlr cable to the mic.
3) Switch on the phantom power on channel 1.
4) increase the gain.

and .... nothing. I have no input at all in Total mix.

I have checked with another cheap microphone with no phantom, and it's working.

Are these steps correct? It should work this way right?

Thanks!
Martin

I forgot to say... I am running my FF400 with the firmware 2.91.

Re: Phantom power on FF400

I put a multimeter on the pin 1 and 2 of the xlr connection on channel one of the FF400, switching on and off the phantom power. I have the 50 V when the phantom is on.

So I just want to confirm that I did the correct procedure with the microphone, and I will return it to the company.
