vinark, what do you mean by "cold reboot" ?
What problem? "No sound" is a bit unspecific...

yes ,no monitoring ,no sound in C6 when i choose 256 or 128
i can only hear the sound direct on totalmix
Shut down computer completely, and power off (cold boot, boot from completely off).
well !
with monitoring direct :
512 : signal in C6
256 and 128 : no signal in C6
64: signal in C6 but with noise (like ground noise i don't know how explain in english)
32: signal in C6
what the matter ?
What kind of computer is that?
it's the first time i got this kind of problem
i use since years your products ,Fireface and now 'till 3 years the HDSPe Madi with the SSL Alphalink converter , never had problems
here i record bands, all kind of artists and music ,and few days ago i had a sessions with a guitarist and i wanted to change the buffer size ....
my computer:gigabyte X58A-UD7 , Intel i930 with 12Go Ram ...
really i don't understand ...
When did you update the motherboard's BIOS last time?

maybe same issue, would suggest a cubase 6 issue.
I have a guy who make PC maintenance here, he updated the latest MOBO bios few weeks ago,
the only thing we 've done is to change Ram (the first ones made boot problem)
i have some sessions this we (drums etc...) ,can i work at 512 with direct monitoring ?
can i work at 512 with direct monitoring ?
yes,that´s the whole idea.
i also contacted Steinberg and report the issue
wait and see !
vinark, while waiting for resolving the issue ,i will work like that ,thanx ...
I asked because some 58 chipset boards made trouble and needed a BIOS update. Maybe there is still a BIOS setting (like PCIe power management) that you should disable for it to work correctly. Can you try a different PCIe slot?
ok i will try that and let you inform
thanx
