Hey all, I got my new Babyface and I have some BASIC questions.  So far my only gripe with the unit is that the manual doesn't really walk you through this stuff.  I guess it hopes you arent a new guy like me!!!

I'm using Logic Pro 9 on an iMac i7.

1) I plugged an electric guitar via a 1/4 inch instrument cable into the side instrument jack.  I have the unit set to "in" but I get no meter signal inside Totalmix.  I use amp sims 99.9% of the time.  What do I need to do to get a signal to record?

2) I have a Line Acoustic Variax that has 2 outputs.  1) Mic Level XLR  2) Line Level.  What one should I use and do I go into the side instrument input or thru one of the mic pres?
