Topic: Updating of Flash from Rev. 2.77 on RME Fireface 800

Hello,

I have just bought a Fireface 800 and I am unable to update the firmware from the Rev. 2.77.  I have tried a MacBook pro as well as a Mac Pro but each time the device failed to confirm success and I was told to used another computer to complete the update.  Can you please advise me on the matter?

v2.77 is the latest firmware already, what are you trying to flash?

Thank you!  I was just doing a first time installation and following instruction to update to the latest using the Flash tool.  I was expecting the program to return saying 'Software is up-to-date' and you are running the latest revision, this is what prompt me to wonder if there is a problem with the setup.

It does say so, when you open the FUT. It either shows "up to date" or "not updated". When you try to flash the same version as the unit already has, it will fail.
