Topic: Bypassing pre-amps on Babyface?

I'm about to do a vinyl transfer project using a high quality TT / preamp setup.
I just ordered a Babyface for this purpose, but a friend mentioned that there is no way to bypass the internal pre-amps on this device.

Did I just purchase the wrong product?

The preamps do not affect the signal quality. At 0 dB gain, the inputs work like a line input. If any more gain is required, you can do so without any problem.
