Topic: ACER 5750G anyone ?

Hello,
has anyone tested any of these laptops ( available with several processors) with Rme's usb interfaces ( babyface, UC, UFX) ?

before I moved to Mac I used a Acer Travelmate 5720 (not exactly your model) and had no issues at all with either USB (Babyface) or Firewire (Tascam DM-24 with IF/FW-DM and M-Audio FW410) on Windows 7 64 Bit.
I even could use WiFi and/or LAN connection without any problems at the same time.
I'm not sure how much "the same" it is to your model. This was my experience. I'm also not sure if it is possible that manufacturers change things like firewire chips or usb chips or wifi minipci cards in the same model, so I suppose the only real way to know if it works is: try it.
For Mac it seems to be different, there is a Model and Part number that seems to say if something has changed, even in the same product.

of course trying is the only way to be sure, but it looks like shops are not that happy ( they don't allow) to load applications and install hardware before buying.
