Topic: Product Request: half-rack interface with two sets of ADAT

Hi,

I'd like to request a product somewhere between the FireFace400 and 800 units. Half-rack size, but with two sets of ADAT ports to allow 16ch audio in optical format, in a half-rack space. That would be fantastic.

In a real perfect world, there would also be an ADAT switch matrix unit which could be triggered via MIDI....

The RME Digiface has 3 ADAT ports in half-19-inch size. There isn't much scope for a "Fireface 600", I believe... cool

Is there a way to run the DigiFace directly from a FireWire port? Many of our shows use Mac Minis or MacBook Pros as the playback platform which means the PCI and CardBus units aren't an option.

Nope - And trying will likely fry the Digiface/Multiface and/or the FW Port...
