Topic: Configuring 5.1 output from VLC

Hello,

I am looking to output 5.1 surround from VLC through my HDSPe series MADI interface installed in my MacPro running 10.5.x. It appears that the Hammerfall software is taking control of the sound preferences within system preferences. Is anyone aware of how to correctly configure / route the audio from VLC through the first 6 outputs of the MADI interface?

Hi

Try waveout in vlc's output settings.
If that doesn't help, try reverting to driver 3.0.85 with "interleaved" active.
