Topic: this is what i get from the specs:

I have the AIO PCIe, Im looking to get 16 i/o channels, my budget is under 2k... Im reading the  specs but  Im new to digital i/o.

this is what i get from the specs:

1. max of 8 i/o w adat.
2. max of 2 aes/ebu i/o
3. max of 4 i/o w the expansion boards from rme.
4. max 2 i/o w spidif.

So is my best bet to go w adat, spidif and the i/o expansion boards..???

My workflow usually revolves around 48k, with sometimes 96k...

Hi,
Do you want this to be 16 analog I/O or just 16 I/O in general?
If you need 16 analog then the AIO may not be as efficient or economical in the long run as a RAYDAT with external AD/DA or a Fireface 400/UC/800/UFX.

Thanks Chris
