I found my JL COOPER ADAT SYNC2 will pass through midi. So it can be used to controll SMPTE, MTC and HUI all over this ADAT SYNC in.
From the ADAT SYNC2 manual;
With an External MIDI Controller (Optional)
Connect a MIDI cable from the output of a keyboard or fader
controller to the dataSYNC2 Merging In.
Notes played on the keyboard, or Controller commands from a fader
controller, will pass through the dataSYNC2 and into the sequencer.
This is useful for recording new sequencer tracks, without having to
pull and re-arrange MIDI cables.
To Allow Sequencer to Play a Keyboard / Tone Module
Start with either hookup diagram on opposite page.
Connect the MIDI Out of the sequencer or computer to the
MIDI In of the keyboard. Connect the MIDI Thru of the
keyboard to the dataSYNC2 MIDI In.
And allso I can use REAROUTE. A network asiodriver by Reaper to record directly over my GB-LAN network into my main quadcore. And I can offload FX from the P4 into my Quadcore. All quite nice.
Well time to build on with my custom mixingdesk so it integrates my main DAW, DM24, SI-24 and all my other goodies.
Let's crack on, shall we.
