Topic: Can't find HDSP 9632 settings.

Hello..

I just transferred this card from an XP machine, to a Win 7 64bit machine.
Installation, driver, and FUT seemed to go OK.
Set my RME as "default sound device"
I am getting sound.

But I can't seem to locate the settings dialog box.....there is no "DSP" icon in the tray to click on.
In the "configure icons" window, I have "Totalmix" and "Hammerfall DSP Settings" set as "Show icons and notifications"
The Totalmix icon is there.........but the DSP is not.

I am new to Win7......does there have to be an active ASIO application running for the icon to show up ?

...thanks.

The icon may be hidden. Check taskbar settings.

Do you see the hdsp32.exe running in the task manager?

No, it is not in task manager.
Just hdspmix.exe*32

Re: Can't find HDSP 9632 settings.

I think this has to do with the "UAC OFF/ON Dance" found HERE post #63.

I'll give that a try....I may not have let the hdsp.exe load all the way at start-up when it asked, "Are you sure you want to run this software?"......it seemed to hang unusually long when I pressed the "run" button...and canceling it too soon resulted in it not being fully loaded.
After a reboot, and allowing it to fully load...the icons are now in my systray, and the settings are accessible.

The UAC bug is fixed in Win 7, make sure you uncheck the "ask me everytime" box at the bottom of the Open File Security Warning dialog.
