Topic: UFX/Total Mix Problems assigning mono inputs to stereo outputs

I'm running a Fireface UFX via USB2 and updated the drivers and firmware today.

The one problem I'm having with the TotalMix is that when I split a hardware input channel into two mono channels some of the stereo hardware output channels recognize it as a mono channel and accept the channel on both sides of the output, some channels see it as the left or right channel of a stereo input and only take its signal on the left or right (wherever it was before the stereo channel was split).   I'm sure I'm going to feel dumb when someone explains this, but I've been looking for a while and I'd appreciate the help.

Yes, I'm an idiot.  I've been misunderstanding the Mix window for months and didn't realize that switching back and forth from mono to stereo and back to mono left the mono channels panned hard in each of the views for the hardware outputs.   Live and learn.  (I still don't see where this is explained in the manual, but I got some clues while watching the various tutorials.)
