Topic: Adat sync problems

I use a fireface 800 linked via adat1 to a presonus digimax fs. In the past I have had no problems linking the 2 units together at all but today they would not stay in syn with each other. The adat light on the fireface would stay lit but then start flashing. I managed to get it to work a few times for a short period of time but it would then for no reason loose sync. Iam really baffled as to what could be causing the problem.

If you want help, you have to tell us how you have configured both devices.

Hello
In the configuration menu I have set rme 800 to clock master . I have used same settings every time and have had no probs. In syncheck adat1 says its in sync then flashes. Sometimes it stays in syn for about 10 to 15 mins sometimes then looses sync continually.

Hi,
Use Word clock out from the RME to Word clock input on the Digimax FS.
Set the Digmax FS to External Word clock instead of ADAT.

Make sure the RME clock is set to internal/master.

Try a different set of ADAT cables.
