Topic: FF800 - Moved from XP to Win7 64 - Mix Level & Sound Different

First let me say that I have had years of error free rock solid operation with my FF800 under XP2.

I have finally taken the plunge and moved (over a period of weeks) from XP2 on an OC'd Q6600 with Raptor drives to Win7 64 on an OC'd i52500 (4.6ghz) with Raptor drives.

Everything appears to be working fine, however, when I open up an existing 'mix' using Audition 3 the mix seems 'hotter', 'clearer' and the vocal track for example is now clipping.

Sure this could be my imagination except that all existing outboard gear is now going into the red where it wasn't previously.

I realise that this is a bit weird so any suggestions would be appreciated

When you use use a completely new driver (or a reinstalled one) you need to set it up like before. For example Settings dialog, set the O-levels to +4 or -10.

Damn - could it be that simple - LOL

I guess I just assumed that the FF800 retained the same settings.

Edit: That fixed it -many thanks
