We have re-designed the internal driver architecture to work around some performance problems under Lion (we no longer wanted to wait for Apple to release the announced fix). If you want to try here is the download link:

The package includes Totalix 0.95pre3, so you get the latest stuff with it.

Flawless playback.
Flawless recording with Ableton Live. About to test Pro Tools now.
This driver appears to be the solution for (unfortunate) Lion possessors, like me.

It seems this driver resets to 44.1khz during each boot. Wasn't like that earlier.
I have to enter the RME Fireface settings to set it to 96khz everytime.

Mine always reset to 44.1khz even on the older drivers.
Would be interesting to hear what has been done in these drivers to help them work on Lion correctly though.
Thanks a lot, it works. I used it with macbookPro for quite sometimes and then I bought a MacbookAir with lion and try to refresh the driver page very often and it not yet updated (till now). Finally I found this in the forum.

hey guys, stress-tested with cubase 6.0.4. and FF UFX. perfect, abslolutely flawless.
Now I can delete the Win7 partitions from my macs. Always felt dirty starting Win on my macs.

well. installed and woing with it..
for one thing babyface is colliding with the other usb Peripherals. resulting in a freezing screen untill i unplug the babyface and replug it again
secondly i have this annoying glitch when my reverb on totalmix is on after a whil.. some sound sample gets into a fedback loop.. turning the reverb off again and back on maks it dissapear

This driver seems to be very much better than the previous. :-)
I am on OS X 10.7 Lion/Logic 9.1.5/RME drivers 1.6.1/FirefaceUC/Firmware 115.
Today there was an exploding noise and Total mix mixer showed red clips on all channels, then tere was the digital noise.
Restarting fixed the problem but I am afraid if it will happen again.
I do not want to have any hearing loss.
What could be the reason?
Anybody else have experienced this?

The new driver 1.62 has a fix for that, which was missing in USB but already present in the FireWire driver.
