Topic: Babyface - Recording 8 ADAT channels with ASIO

I'm running MOTU 8pre as microphone interface and a Babyface to record 8 channels over ADAT.
For the recording I use Samplitude with ASIO (48 kHz sampling) to get proper channel monitoring.
The problem in Samplitude is that only 8 recording channels are available:
ASIO Fireface USB In (1), ASIO Fireface USB In (2),... ASIO Fireface USB In (8)

The channels "ASIO Fireface USB In (1)" and "ASIO Fireface USB In (2)" are the anlaog inputs of the Babyface and channels "ASIO Fireface USB In (3)" ... "ASIO Fireface USB In (8)" are the ADAT inputs. But that results in 6 ADAT channels instead of 8.

So it would be great if someone could explain how to set up the 8 channel ADAT recording with Babyface ASIO.

Thanks

You should have 1-10 inputs available. Check your audio device setup in Samp, you just missed clicking these input channels to make them available.

Re: Babyface - Recording 8 ADAT channels with ASIO

I use a MOTU 8Pre with BabyFace, and have no issues. All channels are represented in control panel.

Thanks for your help. I did a search in Samplitude and found a sub menu in which not all channels were set active, who knows why.
So everything is working fine now.
