Topic: Placement of Digiface in Rack (digital noise)
Is there any issue with placing a Digiface (or any digital gear) right on top of or below an analog piece in a rack/rack case?
Is there a chance of inducing noise into low level analog components - in this case a 8 channel mic pre?
There was a time when I was quite concerned with locating sensitive analog stuff away from computers and digital gear, but now just about everything combines digital and analog circuits in a single box. Even this mic pre has A to D and D to A converters built in. I do believe that care must be taken to separate the two in a single unit, though.
Just wondering if the Digiface emits enough digital hash to perhaps affect signal to noise in an adjacent analog unit?
Thanks for any info.
