Topic: Fireface UC and Babyface: driver 1.01:removing old mixer autostart.reg

Hi,
I have installed the new driver as topic says.
Unfortunately I cannot find where the file I must erase resides.
I have win 7 home premium 64, which is new to me as I am migrating to it after many years on xp.

The file you must erase? Which one is that? What do you mean?

Hi Mathias,
in driver 1.01 driver readme document I read:

"Attention Fireface UC! The former TotalMix autorun entry is not deleted by the driver, therefore has to be deleted by the user before (or after) the driver update. Remove the entry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\FirefaceUsbTray2 = firefaceusbmix.exe

The most easiest and safest way to do this is to double-click on the file

remove old mixer autostart.reg

which is found within the driver archive. Windows will then remove the autostart of the old mixer."

Looks like I have to add the words 'in the registry' to make this more clear. You don't delete a file, you delete a string from the registry.
