Topic: White noise flat

Hi,

it seems Totalyser in DigiCheck uses a frequency-adjustment corresponding to the human ear.
So a pink noise signal is visualized as a flat signal.
Can I change DigiCheck's behaviour, so a white noise signal produces a flat signal?

Thank you

Re: White noise flat

Hi,

Yes, if I compare to WaveLab it's not the same FFT Spectrometer or Spectroscope
if comparing white or pink noise as with DC, don't know if this is possible to change !?

Re: White noise flat

As mentioned on several places DIGICheck does not use FFT. It uses bandpass technology, like a real analog analyzer does.

Re: White noise flat

Hi!

Thank you for the answer. But can you explain the relation between FFT/bandpath technology and the weighting of frequencies?

Google does that easily for you...
