Topic: Babyface headphone recommendations

Sorry, I tried a search.
Recent owner of a Babyface....could gush about how much I love it and it's ease of use,  and workflow for me, but I won't.

But i have read some threads but cannot find them about headphone volume.

Read them before I bought the Babyface.  It seemed There were complaints about headphone volume. I am not having any real problem in this area.

However I seem to remember recommendations of certain types of headphones for the Babyface not brands and models but specs to consider.

Did I really read that?

If so what should I consider when thinking of headphones to use with my Baby?
Thanks

Re: Babyface headphone recommendations

Things to consider:

1) Good sound
2) Good sound
3) Good sound
4) High sensitivity (db/mV)
5) Low impedance may prove beneficial

Achievable volume does depend on music material to a degree. Highly compressed commercial material will provide more than an acoustic recording without compression... It also makes a difference whether you are just llistening at home or trying to monitor in noisy surroundings.

That said, the BF works quite well here with e.g. my Beyer DT 880 Pro (250 Ohms)

Re: Babyface headphone recommendations

I get great results with Audio Technica headphones.  Very good sensitivity.  I use AD1000 (open backed) and M50 (closed back).

I use the KRK 8400 and they work/sound great with the Babyface.
