Hi,
I have a Fireface 400 (purchased in 2007 or 2008) on a laptop wich is under XP pro.
My firewire port begins to die ( I lose sometimes the connection, and I have to twist the plug during long minutes before refinding the link between the FF and the laptop)
So, I have a notepad (compaq 2510p) running under Windows 7, with a 1394 port,  and I would like configure my FF to make it ok for the both PCs.
(I record my concerts with the adat connections of the FF plugged at my yamaha 01V, and I can't manage this firewire's problem 10mn before my jam)

Is it possible ? the firmware and the drivers for W7 are ok for XP ?  I don't want to switch definitly to the compaq, because my first workstation is still my old laptop. I just want to have the possibility to plug the fireface sometimes on the compaq, sometimes on my old Dell.
I've never upgraded the firmware and the drivers of my FF , because all was very stable. So I'm afraid to make a mistake.
