Topic: Firewire 800 connexion not working

I still cannot connect my MSI laptop to the FF800 using a Lacie Firewire 800 card plugged into the FW800 socket of the Fireface 800. Is there any special procedure I should use?

I made a search in the forum and finally found the solution : replace the non compatible TI 1394 driver by the 1394 legacy driver. The Firewire 800 connexion is now working flawlessly.  The description of the procedure is clearly illustrated in a YouTube video.
