I have a strange problem with my Fireface400 and after long investigation I suspect Firefaces driver to be the problem. I'm running a Mainstage set-up, routing audio from mainstage through Fireface to a boss rc50 looper and from the looper back to mainstage (to add effects to the loop). However, in this set-up, the computers audio crashes from time to time, delivering only heavily distorted sound. Only a reboot solves the problem.

The problem persists if I'm routing the audio back from the looper into fireface, but not into Mainstage, in order to have only two outputs (mixing the audio in Totalmix to two tracks). That's why I think Mainstage isn't the problem. Also, I had the same problem with Kore2.

I would be really glad to get help, as this is driving me nuts.

Computer is a MacBook Pro late 2011 with Lion, current drivers and os. The problem also existed on a 2006 MacBook with Snow Leopard.
