Topic: Midi Remote via Madi does not work

I have tried everything I could think of and read the manuals carefully. I could not find a reason why I get always "no response" from RME Midi Remote app when I try to connect to the ADI 8 QS via RME HDSPe port 3 (which is the Madi via Midi port as the manual states).
It is a Mac pro 2008, its RME Madi HDSPe connected via madi optical cables (have tried coaxial, too) to the RME ADI 8 QSM. All the drivers are up to date, I enabled auto ID and tried to fix the ID to 1 and selected that in the software. Still, no response. What could i be doing wrong? I am out of ideas and couldn't find any answer on the forum.

The remote button on the front panel of the ADI also on OPTN?

Thank you so much! I had both midi and option activated (both LEDs lit). I figured, that would mean both are activated. It probably means something else ...
Now it works with only option activated. Great!

It means AES, as noted on the front plate and in the manuals (chapter 8.5). Not quite sure how you missed that...
