Topic: Rms +3 ?????

I have done a search (fruitless) that would (hopefully) expand on the need for this feature, as well as its benefits. As a Sequoia user (in which such an option does not exist) it baffles me. Why have an option that either shows or doesn't show EXACTLY what is being written?

BTW-- I only use DC as a record level monitoring tool, and am looking at anywhere from two to twelve channels-- not a stereo 2-mix.

Some assistance with this would really be appreciated!

Re: Rms +3 ?????

With the option present hit F1 - voilà.
-------------
The reference value of the peak level is digital full scale (which means 0 dB = 7FFFH or 8000H in the digital signal). For the RMS level often a sine with full scale level is used as reference. This method allows an easy comparison of RMS and peak levels at usual (music or speech) signals. This mode is available via Settings and the option RMS +3dB.
