Topic: Babyface's PS

Hi, I'm new here. I just bought the BF to rip my vinyl collection and for some life recordings.
The quality improvement referred to my previous ADC (EMU 0404) is just impressive and I'm happy about this product for this price section!
Now I want to use and external  12V 2.5A power supply.
A, maybe, stupid question: is it normal or a fault that when I connect only a power supply the BF remains totally turned off and starts up only when I add a single cabled USB connection?

That is normal.
The Babyface needs to have a connection to the host (computer) to boot.
