Topic: HDSP RPM doesn't start up

Everything worked just fine till yesterday. Today my HDSP RPM doesn't want to start up. Its connected to a Laptop via PCMCIA Card.

After Windows (XP) is up the red Host/Error LED stays red. Sometimes also the yellow Midi in LED.

There is no more clicking of the relais as usual, when it starts.
It does work on another computer.
Latest driver is installed.

On another computer means also via CardBus?

yes, with a PCI/cardbus adapter.

Today I tried another Firewire cable. And it started up. But after a few minutes it lost the connection again then started up again but was set to samplerate 64000. When I set the samplerate back to 44100 it started making noises. I mean the noise was comming from the breakout box! It sounded like a cricket chirping from inside - I am a little worried.
When playing back the sound is also distorted like with a bitcrusher.

I will get another Firewire cable today...

Replace the RPMs power supply. If the effect stays the RPM might be defective.

Its running! Thank you.
It was just the powercable (Euro 8). Luckily not even the supply.
