Hi to all !
I just bought a FIREFACE 800 and I am trying to use it with Ableton. Thing is I can't get it to get any sound out of it... is it something special I have to do in the set ups of the soundcard or what else can be wrong? 
Please provide more details so we can help. Mac or PC? Did you install drivers for the Fireface? Did you select the Fireface in Ableton audio device setup?
It's PC. Yes I installed the drivers. Yes, I selected the Fireface in audio device set up in Ableton. It may be some setting in the soundcard?
Do you get any meters in the Fireface Mixer during playback? Which channels?
No, not even in the Ableton tracks..
Does the playback counter increase when you start playback? Did you set Live to sync to an external clock signal?
Are you using ASIO or Directmusic? Does it work with your PC's internal soundcard?
Yes it works Ableton with other sound cards, even with the internal one.
I am using ASIO.
Are your other interfaces FW800, too? Are you using Windows 7 and did you try to switch the Firewire driver to the "(legacy)" one yet?
The basic question is where exactly is there "no sound"...? Is there any signal in the FF mixer anywhere? Does the FF play back with other software? Which driver is installed?

Latest driver installed. The Ableton is like just blocked. Tried in Cubase, same thing, no sound in the master channel or anywhere else...I think it can be a setting from the RME card but don't know really...
No playback in the software, either? I.e. no cursor movement, no levels in the mixer?
There is no software setting that causes that....
What about Media Player etc.?
Is the red LED on the FF on?

The red led is not on. The same does to my winamp, it blocks it...it stops playing...it gets blocked.
Please provide a jpg screenshot of the mixer and FF settings panel.

FireWire not working. Try the 'Legacy' tip.
finally it's working, the cable was not ok, thing is I get cracks and pops at every 3 seconds or so... Need a hand here please!
