Topic: FF 800 failure

Greetings,

I use a RME Fireface 800 interface with a MacPro Intel running Mac OS X, 10.6.8 with 5 GB RAM.

Today, when I attempted to run audio through my system, the RME failed and all the front panel lights started flashing in some sort of sequence.

The same thing happened on one previous occasion, but the RME started working properly again after about an hour.

Even though nothing has changed since the last time I successfully used the system (yesterday), I've checked all my settings, downloaded the latest RME driver, shut down and restarted both my computer and RME.

Everything seems to be in order, but as soon as a signal hits the RME it fails and the panel lights start blinking.

Can anyone help?

I had same thing today on macbook pro 13"

I also hear clicks on left channel when I switch to 96khz with no sequenser open or logic in a new project without playing back anything!
