Topic: DUREC Problem with USB Stick

I recorded a concert yesterday, DUREC with USB Stick. First half went well, during the break I copied the files onto my computer, cleared the files from the stick, and inserted it back into the UFX. I then recorded the second half of the concert. After the concert, my computer wasn't able to recognize the Stick (didn't show up in the Finder). I tried it with a PC, and also with the UFX itself, but neither can recognize the stick anymore!
Is there any way I can restore these files? There better be, otherwise the Fireface UFX just screwed up an important job with a famous ensemble.

You would not do an "important job with a famous ensemble" without some sort of backup recording, would you? HeadScratch

If the stick is damaged for some reason, it does not mean the UFX caused that.
If possible, activate write protection on the stick and either try some freeware/shareware data recovery tools or send the stick in for professional data recovery - depending on how important the data is.

I feel for you if you lost the files, but if you used a single recorder with no backup then the equipment did not screw up, you did.  Just connect the UFX to a laptop and record to your DAW or Digicheck in addition to the DUSB and you'll be much safer.

Best of luck recovering the files.
