Yes, otherwise the unit would not have been built the way it is now...

What is the datarate with 24 channels @ 44.1? In any configuration at any sample rate does it exceed 480Mbps?

480Mbps is well above the 60ch, 24/192kHz i/o (33MBs, AFAIK), but the question is how the sustained read/write is secured over the USB bus.
IMO, RME pioneered the solid drivers for USB interfaces, and now people recognize USB2.0 interface more preferable.
Some people still belive "USB sucks", and certainly true with some interfaces, but that's not true with RME's USB interfaces (BF, UC, and UFX).
