Topic: Using ADI-8 QS with Fireface UFX

hello all,

I am about to purchase the Fireface UFX to use on a Mac Pro desktop running Logic Pro. I need about 6-8 more audio inputs than the UFX provides for a number of outboard synth modules I have. Would purchasing the ADI-8 QS be my best option? Also, in order to use the added 4 channels of input from the QS, do I need to connect via AES3?

Finally, when running all these channels simultaneously, would there be any problem with overloading the firewire bus?

Thanks for any tips!

:-)

Re: Using ADI-8 QS with Fireface UFX

The QS is the perfect partner for the UFX. It connects via one or two ADAT I/O(s) to the UFX. 8 channels with up to 96 kHz (4 with 192 kHz).

No problems with the channel count (60 channels with 44.1 kHz).

best regards
Knut
