Topic: How to hook up the Strymon El Capistan (stompbox) in stereo

Hi there..

I have been using a T.C. G-Major 2 for quite sometime patched in stereo through the Fireface 800. I am miking and recording Flamenco guitar. The sound has become to sterile and digital for me so I have decided to get the Strymon El Capistan (Tape echo simulator) pedal to patch in as it is way warmer and should be the missing link set at a very subtle level.

My question is: My G-major has 2 inputs and 2 outputs for stereo.

The Strymon pedal has 1 input and 2 outputs.

How would I patch this in to the F-800 to get full stereo? I realize that this was meant for a guitar to be plugged into it.. but can't I still patch it (IN STEREO) and use the effect on my mic? :roll

Here is the unit replacing the g-major. It does work in line levels.

Thank you so much!!

HI,
This will depend more on what software you use to record with.
The best way to use this pedal would be as a effect send/return in your software.
