Topic: USB device not recognized message when switching on UFX fireface

When switching on the UFX i get a message

"one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfuntioned, and windows does not recognize it"

i have tried updating and installing the drivers and it is up to date

on the device manager i cant find the device

how can i fix this?

Did you try another usb-cable?

Yes i did but i still get the same message

Have you tried USB ports in different machines?
Windows OS doesn't automatically install the device driver.
It is shown in the Device Manager with yellow question mark, but you don't see even that?

No I dont see the ufx in the device manager

and yes the operating system is windows 7

Can you test the unit with another computer? Or try the FW connection?

i dont have a firewire card yet, bit i will try to get one

and i have not tried it on another computer

evrything worked fine until

i recently installed a new mother board

could that be the problem?
