Topic: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

Hi
I would control some faders in a FF UFX with MIDI. The controler is Midi Mobillizer II/iPhone4/TouchOsc.

When TotalMix is on (and the unit connected to the Mac), the chain works (with MIDI IN 2 only, i don't know why).
When USB is disconnected (and standalone mode for MIDI switched on in the unit), the command don't work.

What's wrong ?

Thanks

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

1. You did set the MIDI input in the TM options to port 1? Is port one working at all?
2. In stand-alone mode only port one is used.

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

MIDI ONE works now : i didn't seen the selector in TM. Sorry.

In standalone mode (with MIDI port 1) : same problem.
Led of port in is lighting when the controler is active, but the channel's level don't changes. If USB is reconnected, the level changes.
Of course, standalone mode is on.

Thanks.

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

Use a MIDI tool to find out which exact sequence you are sending to the unit.

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

Hi Matthias,

I was on the road.

With Midi Monitor, for example :

12:25:24.081    From Port 1    Control    1    Controller 102    104
12:25:25.312    From Port 1    Control    1    Controller 112    93
12:25:27.025    From Port 1    Control    1    Controller 110    18

I think it's ok. No ?

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

Standalone Midi mode don't work with another Midi controller (testing with AudioToolbox).
Revision USB 351/DSP1.41/FW340

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

Max/MSP can't drive the unit in standalone mode with another midi port out.
Max > Digidesign midi out > FireFace standalone = NG

Does somebody use this mode with MIDI remote ?
Thanks

Re: Remote MIDI in standalone mode

UFX AND MIDI (with BCR2000, the one with endless encoders only - in mode "S4")

within total mix, i can move/remote the in's : AN1 = cc /// channel 1 /// 102 ...... MIC12 = cc /// channel 1 /// 113
etc. as the page 77 of the manual told me.

("ch 1 to 12, controler 102 to 177 = 64 faders")

and for the master, as AN1/2, the simplissime cc // channel 1 ////  7

that's enough for me ! great !

(ok i can't have the feedback into the encoder don't know why... but ok)

i saved it as a workplace, and also in the setup1

then in standalone, i load set1, but only the master is controlled, not the AN / MIC...

did i forgot something ??
