Topic: FF400, Win7 64bit ... BLUE SCREEN

I get at least once a day blue screen with my setup. Blue screen says that fireface is causing the problem. This is specialy reproducable, when the PC is on , when I turn on the FF400 with external power. I cannot confirm blue screen when I turn on the FF400 before I turn on the PC.

Anyways.. any clue is welcome

thanks

Win7 64bit
Fireface 400 with latest FF driver and firmware
i7, Intel board,8GB RAM
Cubase 5.5 64bit

Re: FF400, Win7 64bit ... BLUE SCREEN

This may be help.[old legacy driver]

- Go to Device Manager, FireWire Contoller.
- Choose Driver, Update Driver Software
- Choose "Browse my Computer for driver software"
- Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". A list pops up that shows three entries:

OHCI-compliant 1394 Host controller
OHCI-compliant 1394 Host controller (legacy)
OHCI-compliant Texas Instruments 1394-Host controller

- From these three select 'OHCI-compliant 1394 Host controller (legacy)'
- Install the latest FF driver...

Why that?
What's the difference between them? (isn't the TI the best option?) (and is the TI an included driver of W7 or are these to be installed with the FW card?)

Thank's smile
