Topic: click / pop sounds during playback and monitoring ff400

hello,

i am hearing slight clicks and pops, sounds like the computer is struggling to process the sound.
ive adjusted the freq. and sample rates in both total mix and cubase 6.
when cubase is just down and i play a song on i tunes i am still getting the popping sound.
i also tried changing the out and input levels on my ff400 -using iquadcore 7
any suggestins?

Is this a Mac or PC?

pc - i also updated the drivers from rme website.  i hear it on the headphones as well.

i wonder if its the power source?

latency was 300us at the most so seems to be working fine.  good news, the popping is gone...even in record mode......im not sure why: maybe the driver updates loaded after a few reboots, or maybe because i moved the ff400 off and away from my-preamp.
