Topic: Constant flashing midi in light (UFX)

Hi,i too am having odd midi behavior.Just wondering if the next update will address these issues.

I wasn't aware of it till yesterday as i had an alesis trigger i/o going to midi in 1.It was working fine but the midi light on the interface never lit up(Tried it again just now,no light).Maybe that's normal,i never looked for a light as the midi works fine.
I also had a roland keyboard controller going into my computer(USB midi) wich was also working fine.

So yesterday,i decided i wanted the trigger i/o to go usb instead as i was getting static shocks from the alesis walwart. Its cold and dry here right now.
So i switched them and am now using the roland keyboard through the UFX midi in 1 and everything is still working fine but now the midi in light just flashes constantly when i have the keyboard on.
It works fine but its annoying, like a yellow flashing trafic light.
Its a constant flashing, not flashing when i trigger notes.

Alesis trigger i/o(midi in 1) =works fine,no midi light.
Roland controller(midi in 1)=works fine, constant flashing midi in light.
SAme for midi in 2.

Yaaawn...

Manual page 43:
Note: The MIDI input LEDs display any kind of MIDI activity, including MIDI Clock, MTC and Active Sensing. The latter is sent by most keyboards every 0.3 seconds.

Yeah Yaaawn,nice one,

I did read that in the manual but i didn't think it would constantly flash in my face like a traffic light.
Its very annoying and why do they not light up when a drum module is connected.
Ya know, im rmehappy but not so happy with your attitude.
Have a great weekend.

Re: Constant flashing midi in light (UFX)

The LEDS only display what comes in. If you want it to stop, switch off the Roland keyboard... rotfl
Apparently, the drum module does not send any active sensing, so the LEDs don't flash.

You really are killing the messenger here... :roll HeadScratch

I guess you didn't read the whole post,i was also inquiring as to why the led doesn't flash or light at all when the drum module is connected via midi but RME support seems to gotten that as they answered that part of it as well.
Where do you find hats to fit that big head of yours.lol
