Topic: Fireface 800 via FW400 loud pop on shut down

I have just gotten my fireface running and absolutey love it. I replaced my Digi 002 with it and it's really opened up my ears in the D/A section as well as improved my sources osunds alot.

Are you guys getting loud pops when you power down the FF800? Is the only solution to power down the monitors before powering down the FF or is there another workaround?

Hi,
You can also use an inexpensive passive attenuator or a basic monitor controller.
These will give you a physical volume and mute knob/button to turn down before powering off the system.
In general is is always recommended you power off the speakers first before turning off the system and last after turning it on.
Regardless of you using a external monitoring device.

Thanks Chris
