Topic: Babyface, using Audacity for recording, windows7

Hi!

I just bought my Babyface and I`m quite new to recording stuff at home, so have some questions that I hope you quys can answer

I`ve hooked up my mic to line in R and the phones to the device itself(not the break-out).  In Audacity the input is set to analogue 1 and 2, and the output to analogue 3 and 4.
I can hear my voice both when only Totalmix is open, and when recording in Audacity, but the sound is delayed. This obviously makes it very difficult to use the phones as monitors while recording. How can I avoid it?

To work around the problem I tried routing the output through the computer speakers and hooking up the headphones to them instead. I couldn`t hear my voice in the phones, but at least I could listen to my subtrack while singing. However, the track I recorded has a lot of noise that doesn`t come from the surroundings. What could this be, and how do I stop it?

Kind regards,
Tale

By the way, are there any linux drivers for the Babyface?
