Topic: HDSPe express card + Multiface + Windows 7 - input signal malfunction

I'm using a Multiface I + HDSPe card + windows 7 on a Lenovo Laptop. I just installed the latest driver from RME downloads and ran the flash update. As per an earlier suggestion, I also changed the BIOS Setting  "PCI Express Power Management" to Disabled, and reinstalled the drivers.

The host error light on my Multiface stays off but when I open up the DSP settings it gives me the settings panel for an RPM (not Multiface) and the status toggles between connected and disconnected. When I open the mixer, the input section shows a lot of activity when there isn't any signal going into or out of the multiface, and the program window changes intermittently between being big and small. Abelton 8 is able to open the Multiface (which it reads as a Multiface) but when i record enable a track, the input level immediately shoots all the way up when there is in fact no input signal going into it. It also doesn't seem to register any input which is actually going into the multiface.

I've tried plugging a few different power supplies into the multiface but haven't had any luck. Is this maybe a software issue?

Insert the ExpressCard when Windows has booted. Better?

That doesn't seem to help. I'm still experiencing the same issues.

Try a different FireWire cable.
