Topic: Do the Fireface UC, UCX and UFX have the same preamps?

I see that the Fireface UFX and UCX are listed as having the same preamp technology as the Micstasy preamp but in a Sweetwater sales video on the Fireface UC they say it also has the Micstasy preamps. Is this true? Does that mean the Fireface 400 also has the Micstasy preamps?

Sales and marketing ... :-)

Al these units, including the Fireface 400, have the same superb mic preamp chip, PGA2500. In the smaller units the chip is the whole preamp. In the bigger units there is some more to it, and in the Micstasy the chip is surrounded by OP-amps, transistors and relais, taking it to an even higher level.

So it is all the same - and not...

so the fireface 800 has better preamps than fireface ucx? HeadScratch
