Topic: RME ADI-2 AD/DA Converter

Hi,
I'm thinking about to buy RME ADI-2 AD/DA Converter. I don't have  knowladge about using a standalone converter .I'm confused. how to record via ADI-2 to my DAW. I have a Tc electronic konnekt 24D sound card. Also my pc has spdif & optical. What is the best way to connect ADI-2 for recording and listening?

Does it make any diffrence connecting ADI-2 via sound card or directly to mainboard? Should i run adi-2 as masterclock?
Please enlighten me smile

Re: RME ADI-2 AD/DA Converter

Hi,
You need to connect the ADI-2 tot he coaxial RCA SPDIF ports on the back of the Konnekt24D.

The ADI-2 will add 2 more very high quality analog I/O to your TC.
I don;t know if the TC likes to be clocked externally. If it it does then technically the ADI-2 will be best run as a master.
It will be more convenient though to run the TC as master. The sound in sound in either setup will be minimal if not unnoticeable.
The ADI-2 wil sound great either way.

Thanks Chris
